Caitlin Bell is a songwriter, performer, educator, board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) and licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT) based in New York City and originally from Atlanta, Georgia.

Caitlin has toured nationally and internationally, playing in renowned venues such as the Ryman Auditorium and Hammerstein Ballroom.

Caitlin is also a core writer and collaborator on new music and theatre projects, receiving grants from the cell theatre and New York Theatre Barn and showcases in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's New Works Series.

A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and New York University, Caitlin practices music psychotherapy in New York City. She holds a post-masters level II certificate in Arts and Trauma Treatment from the Kint Institute and is actively pursuing her post-graduate training in Analytical Music Therapy (AMT).

Through her clinical work, Caitlin utilizes creative techniques through a trauma-informed lens to work with people who experience substance use disorders, sexual violence and PTSD. Caitlin is also passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, and young people to support identity formation, self-expression and self-actualization through the use of creative modalities.

In addition to her clinical work, Caitlin serves as the New York Program Director for The Angel Band Project, a nationally recognized non-profit organization that provides free music therapy services to survivors of sexual violence.

As an educator, Caitlin is an Assistant Professor of Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music, and has been a guest lecturer for institutions including The Juilliard School and the Berklee Music and Health Institute.
